A: First, I suggest checking with the person / people who facilitated the transfer & see what the progress is. Then, if you are still not satisfied with their response, go to the county / state records department & check with them. In Michigan, a title to a mobile home is the same as a car – it goes through the Secretary of State – not the Registrar of deeds. Make sure you know where your transfer process goes through before checking.
