A: Your return would be gradual if you stay in / with the place after investing in a new heating system. The cost difference, if you were to sell would come much quicker as a buyer would offer less (or possibly not at all) in a ‘similar’ property with an old / outdated system.A new system offers a major difference in a buyers eye’s if the other properties they consider (for the same price) did not have the upgrade. You can’t however, add the cost to the price.
